This jacquard mini skirt from Zara is one of my new favorite pieces. The bright colors combined with a heavier fabric make it the perfect piece for transitioning from spring to summer. And can we talk about the price tag – $60??!!! I love it.
This skirt goes great with a chambray shirt. If you don’t already have one of those, then stock up because they seriously go with everything and I’m slightly obsessed.
I also wanted to strike a more serious note this blog post. I’m all about budget fashion but sometimes when we get a deal we’re paying a different price: workers’ safety and fair pay. The recent fire in Bangladesh that killed over 1,000 garment factory workers is insanely horrifying. Not to mention the fact that some of these people were only making $37 per month. I’m glad to hear that companies like Zara and H&M are stepping up and signing a new fire and building safety agreement but it’s up to us as consumers to pressure retailers into demanding safety and fair wages for workers in Bangladesh and beyond. I signed this petition to encourage more companies to sign the agreement – and I hope you will too!
And of course I can’t get through a blog photo shoot without some goofy moments. End serious note.
